Third-party developers provided a tease about a highly-anticipated aircraft coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator and released a new airport.
FlyByWire revealed on its Discord server an impressive new screenshot featuring the flight deck of the highly-anticipated freeware Airbus A380, which has been in development for quite a while.
On top of the screenshot, which you can see below, we also get a brief overview of the progress made recently, alongside the promise of a progress update video coming "soon."
"We have made good progress on the A380X in the last few weeks, namely an integration of our custom made FMS together with the appropriate pilot interface in the multi function display (MFD), the integration of the Onboard Airport Navigation System (OANS), and various improvements on all instruments. Keep an eye on our YouTube for a progress update soon!"
If you're not familiar with FlyByWire, they're a massive group of open-source developers responsible for having massively improved the default Airbus A320neo. Their version was basically the first complex airliner available for Microsoft Flight Simulator, and the fact that it's completely free makes it extremely popular.
Due to that, it's not surprising that the anticipation for their Airbus A380 is through the roof.
Next, we get a release from New Age Scenery, and it's Barbacena Airport (SBBQ), also known as Maj Brig Doorgal Borges Airport in Brazil.
It's available on Simmarket for $7.89, and below you can check out a few screenshots.
If you'd like to keep in touch with the simulator's extremely active third-party industry, you can come back every day on TechRaptor, as we post daily Microsoft Flight Simulator news for your perusal.
