Third-party developers have revealed new assets about Microsoft Flight Simulator add-ons, while a new airport has been announced and another released.
We start with Aerosoft's Airbus A330, which received two new work-in-progress videos focusing on the sounds. Interestingly, the second video showcases a new feature that simulates wearing a Bose A20 Aviation headset like a real pilot would do.
We also get a couple of screenshots from beta tester P Astarto featuring the colorful Air Asia livery (which is user-made, since the paint kit is already available).
Staying in the realm of Aircraft, but moving on to something entirely different, SimSkunkWorks released the first WIP video of the Italian World War II fighter Macchi C.205 Veltro.
The video focuses on a test of the engine and flight model, and it's certainly great to see someone making this rare Italian purebred, which was one of the most beautiful aircraft of the era.
Next is an announcement from UK2000 Scenery, which is going to release London City Airport (EGLC) in the UK. This is great considering that the simulator doesn't yet have a version of the airport featuring the new parallel taxiway, which has changed operations at this unique and super-scenic airport radically, removing the need to backtrack on the runway.
At the moment, a release window has not been announced, but it should be close.
Lastly, FeelThere released its rendition of Boston Logan Airport (KBOS).
It's available on Simmarket for a fairly affordable $12.19, but from the trailer we can easily see that you're getting what you're paying for. According to the developer, it includes the following.
- Custom high-resolution PBR textures
- Realistic representation of the Boston Logan airport
- Custom ground polygon for realism
- Custom night lighting
- Custom taxi signs
