Mewtwo announced as a paid DLC fighter for Smash Bros. players who did not buy both versions.
The #150 Pokemon makes his return to Nintendo's party brawler in Spring 2015.
Some Smash players who watched the Nintendo Direct last month may have felt left out with the announcement that Mewtwo would be a playable fighter for the dedicated fans who bought both the Wii U and 3DS versions. Nintendo of Europe announced today via Twitter that the psychic Pokemon would be available for purchase for the players that did not buy both versions of the game. No mention of price or additional details of release date were given.
Nintendo reiterated that Mewtwo is still free to anyone who purchases and registers both versions of the game before January 20th. In addition to a free Mewtwo, fans who purchased the console and handheld versions will receive a soundtrack of the game.
