Today, Deep Silver and 4A have announced that Metro Redux will be released on February 28, 2020 for the Nintendo Switch. Combining the first two titles in the Metro franchise, Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, the games and both of their DLC's will be released on one physical card.

The story has the player surviving an apocalypse in 2013 and trying to survive in 2033, where an entire generation has been born and raised underground due to the Earth above becoming a poisonous wasteland that is all but uninhabitable. As Artyom, the player must journey beyond their comfort zone and warn humanity of the greatest threat that they have ever seen. Despite the fact that the end of the world may be upon them again, it becomes horrifyingly clear that the factions within Metro Redux would rather fight each other than unite, which means the aptly-named doomsday device may yet end the world for good.

Players will be able to experience Metro Redux through the Survival Play Style, which is more of a Survival Horror experience or go in guns blazing with the Spartan Play Style. If the game is preordered, pre-purchases will receive the game and all of its DLC on one 16GB cart with no additional download needed, and a Ranger Cache preorder pack that includes a Metro Redux pin badge set, a game case sleeve, a double-sided alternate artwork inlay, 4 double-sided art cards, and a A2 double-sided poster.

Those who would prefer to purchase the games digitally will be able to do so from the Nintendo e-shop as well.
