The Xbox Game Pass September 2022 lineup (for the first half of the month, at least) has been revealed, and it's a doozy. Microsoft has confirmed a Metal: Hellsinger Xbox Game Pass day one release, and there are some other great games on their way to the service this month as well.
So we're getting a Metal: Hellsinger Xbox Game Pass day one release?
That's right. The brutally hard-rocking boomer shooter is coming to Xbox Game Pass on launch day, bringing the talents of vocalists like Trivium's Matt Heafy and Arch Enemy's Alissa White-Gluz. Even if you're not into epic odysseys through metal-inspired hellscapes (and why wouldn't you be?), there's plenty to look forward to in the first part of September on Xbox Game Pass. Let's take a look.
Disney Dreamlight Valley (PC, console, cloud, today)
Starting from today, the rather cozy-looking Disney Dreamlight Valley is available on Xbox Game Pass. If you're a subscriber, you'll get extra cosmetics and in-game currency for the game, which allows you to build an idyllic life for yourself amongst some of your favorite Disney characters.
Opus Magnum (PC, today)
If you love Zachtronics games, you'll probably already have played Opus Magnum, but if not, it's a classic Zachtronics puzzle title in which your goal is to create alchemical concoctions using a transmutation machine. Opus Magnum sports Zachtronics' classic "learn by doing" design (which, sadly, we might not see again for a while).
Train Sim World 3 (PC, console, today)
Train Sim World 3 lets you loose in its hyper-realistic world and allows you to master its routes and vehicles. This installment boasts brand new dynamic weather and lighting systems that should make your train journeys even more realistic (although you might not have to pay the exorbitant fares, thankfully).
Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation (PC, September 13th)
Starting next week, you'll be able to check out Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation on Xbox Game Pass. This huge RTS lets you battle entire space armies on a battlefield that is constantly shifting and changing around you. It's got multiplayer support as well!
DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace (PC, console, cloud, September 13th)
Ah, the movie tie-in. You don't see games like this much anymore, but you certainly will on September 13th, when DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace brings the action of the movie to your PC or Xbox console (or phone if you're cloud gaming).
You Suck at Parking (PC, console, cloud, September 14th)
We'll see about that, provocative title! You Suck at Parking is a manic racing game in which the aim is not to accelerate, but to slow down. Can you park under pressure? We'll soon find out when the game launches across all Xbox Game Pass platforms on September 14th.
Despot's Game (PC, console, September 15th)
One of two Xbox Game Pass titles launching on September 15th, Despot's Game is an army battling game with roguelite elements. You must command your army and send them into procedural dungeons, where they'll almost certainly die. You can take on either AI opponents or other players in this one.
Metal: Hellsinger (PC, Xbox Series X|S, September 15th)
Get ready to take on armies of demons. Metal: Hellsinger is a rhythm FPS in the vein of BPM: Bullets Per Minute, so you'll need to match your blasting to the rhythm of bone-crushing music from some of metal's greatest luminaries. Suffice it to say I'm hype for this one.
Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass In September
Whew! That's a pretty big haul, no? Of course, this being Xbox Game Pass, all things must...well...pass, and so there are some titles leaving the service this month as well. Here's everything that's departing Xbox Game Pass on September 15th.

- Aragami 2 (PC, console, cloud)
