The Medieval Dynasty Windmill Update is coming soon, adding a new building to the game that makes grain production easier than ever.
Medieval Dynasty is a game about surviving in the medieval era and building your own town from the ground up. A roadmap for the game was revealed late last year and a post-launch update added a third-person perspective a couple of months later. Now, it looks like we're close to the next step on the roadmap -- check out this cheeky teaser from the developers.
The mechanics of the Windmill were not detailed in the teaser, but we can make some guesses based on what we know about the game. Part of farming in Medieval Dynasty involves turning grains into flour at the Barn, but this is done by hand (either by yourself or by one of your villagers). Presumably, the addition of the Windmill will automate this process and increase production overall.
There's also the matter of constructing the Windmill. Based on what we can see in the teaser, it looks like a building made mostly of wood. I imagine that the vanes will be made using linen fabric, so it shouldn't be too difficult to build one of these structures.
When is the Medieval Dynasty Windmill Update Release Date?
The Medieval Dynasty Windmill Update release date has not yet been revealed. That said, the roadmap says that this feature will launch in Q1 2022, so we'll likely get this update before April 1, 2022.
Roadmap aside, what we've seen in today's teaser shows that the Windmill in-game model looks mostly complete. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw this update drop in the next week or two, but we can't say for certain until there's an official announcement.
For now, it's a pretty good time to get into this game -- you can buy Medieval Dynasty for PC via Steam starting at $27.99 or your regional equivalent, a 20% discount as part of the Steam Lunar New Year Sale that lasts for around two more days.
