The Heir Medieval Dynasty update has finally gone live, which is a pretty big deal for Medieval Dynasty players. The update required the use of a now-outdated beta that launched last week, so if you currently have it installed be sure to uninstall it and get the latest Medieval Dynasty update.
If you missed the beta news, this update added fast travel, the donkey shelter building, toys, and tens of thousands of words. There's also some language updates, which is always nice to see for non-English speakers. If your computer was having some trouble running this game, your problems may be alleviated (or even solved) due to some rendering optimizations and improvements.
Interestingly, the reason that the Heir Medieval Dynasty update took so long to arrive was partly due to the amount of words it adds. Before the patch, the game had 75,000 words, and after the update it's now close to 120,000. Over 40,000 added words is a lot and almost a novel in and of itself, so players should definitely talk to every NPC they see and discover where the new text went.
If English is not your first language, there's good news, as many languages have been updated. Here's a full list of Medieval Dynasty languages that have undergone that treatment in the new update.
- Czech
- German
- Spanish
- French
- Swedish
- Turkish
- Chinese Simplified
- Polish
- Portuguese
- Russian
- Ukrainian
It's important to note that some languages are still a work in progress and will be updated later. If you're like me and you're a stickler for good grammar, you might want to wait for your native language to be fully updated and ready for prime time before switching over. It's up to you, though. After all, it's your dynasty, amirite?
