Render Cube has announced that it will be adding Medieval Dynasty co-op play next year. The developer says this feature has been at the top of many players' wishlists since the game's launch in 2020, and so it's been added as the final stage of the current roadmap.
What do we know about Medieval Dynasty co-op play?
When the Medieval Dynasty roadmap was originally released back in September last year, it included features the devs were planning to add in 2022, including a console release and new equipment. Now, it looks like we know at least one thing that's being planned for 2023: Medieval Dynasty co-op play is coming at last. In a press release, publisher Toplitz describes co-op as one of the most-requested features for the game since it launched. The studio says it'll reveal more details about how this new mode will work in the coming months. Here's a look at the revised Medieval Dynasty roadmap.
We've already had several updates that were promised by Render Cube, including the recent addition of birds and hunting trophies, but there are a few more features to come before co-op play is added to Medieval Dynasty. As Render Cube points out, the Heir system, which will let you make good on the "dynasty" part of the game's title, will be added in Q2 of 2022. Medieval Dynasty is coming to consoles this year, too, so Render Cube is focused on that. Afterward, new armors, crests, and shields, as well as co-op play, will be added in 2023. Render Cube says we can expect more info about all of this stuff in the coming weeks as well.
What is Medieval Dynasty?
Medieval Dynasty is a sandbox survival game set in, as the name suggests, the far future (not really, of course, it's set in medieval times). You are a young man fleeing the field of battle to try and find his purpose, and to do so, you'll build and raise a village, as well as establish your own medieval dynasty. You'll need to hunt wild animals to survive, fend off attacks from bandits and other dangers, and deal with the problems of the village's inhabitants. There's also a story to follow, as well as several quests you can take on.

You can grab Medieval Dynasty right now on Steam, where it's currently available at a 25% discount. If you do decide to pick it up and you're worried about where to start in what can feel like a pretty overwhelming game, do be sure to check out our beginner's guide, which should give you everything you need to get started.
