At today's Ubisoft Forward, Ubisoft announced the massively multiplayer extreme sports game Riders Republic. Developed by Ubisoft Anney, this game will give players the opportunity to get together to perform sick tricks and seek some major thrills online.

Riders Republic is billed as a mix of MMO-lite and extreme sports game featuring sports like biking, skiing, snowboarding, wingsuit flying, and more. This world will give players the opportunity to engage in extreme sports with other players and challenge them to races with more than 50 players at the same time. An overarcing career mode will have players making a name for themselves in a variety of sports, signing up with legendary sponsors, and collecting a variety of progression-based gear that'll let players define every part of their character. The world itself will be a huge social playground with seven distinct areasm each inspired by the United States' national parks, to explore with themes like forests, snow, and sand.

“We wanted to combine our love for extreme sports with an adrenaline-filled multiplayer experience, letting players share those unique riding moments with more than 50 other players at all times,” said Igor Manceau, Creative Director of Riders Republic at Ubisoft Annecy. “Riders Republic offers fun and light-hearted competition and allows us to push the boundaries with this genre. We can’t wait for riders to dive into this dynamic world and share their own epic stories.”

Riders Republic will release on February 25, 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Stadia, UPLAY+, and PC via the Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store. Customers who buy the PS4 or Xbox One version can upgrade to the next-gen version at no extra cost.
