Guardians of the Galaxy The Telltale Series Marvel

The voice acting talent for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series has been announced by Telltale Games.

Guardians of the Galaxy is a Marvel comic series where a group of roguish heroes travel the galaxy fighting against the various forces of evil. The original comic series dates all the way back to 1969, but its 2008 revival is perhaps better known in the comics world after a bit of a revamp with the lineup of heroes. This newer group of heroes was the basis for the 2014 film of the same which made back over three times of its initial budget and has a sequel titled Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on the way.

Telltale Games initially announced Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series late last year, although they hadn't yet specified any platforms or release dates. Telltale has said that the game will follow the practices of most of their other adventure games, featuring five distinct episodes and a bundle or season pass that lets you purchase all of them at a discount. We now know who is going to be voicing the five main characters for this game.

Brandon Paul Eells (who provided VA work for Watch Dogs) is going to be voicing Groot. Adam Harrington (who previously worked with Telltale in The Wolf Among Us) will be taking on the role of the team's leader Star-Lord. Nolan North (voice actor of Nathan Drake in the Uncharted series as well as dozens of other characters) will be voicing Rocket Raccoon. Emily O'Brien (Y'shtola in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and Faris Scherwiz in World of Final Fantasy) is going to voice Gamora, and Adam Harrington (League of LegendsThe Wolf Among Us) will be voicing Groot.

The game was recently discussed at a panel in PAX East on Friday. Telltale Games will be at SXSW in Austin on March 17 to show off an early version of the first episode to attendees.

What do you think of the voice acting lineup for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series? Do you feel that any particular voice actor fits their roll well, and do you feel that any of the voice actors were potentially miscast?
