The second episode of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series will be releasing on PCs and consoles on June 6, 2017 according to a press release.
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is an adventure game set up in Telltale Games' classic style focusing on a ragtag band of heroes most recently popularized by the film that released in July of 2014. The first episode focused on the adventures of the Guardians fighting Thanos and other intergalactic threats as told from the perspective of Star-Lord. If you'd like to see our thoughts on Episode 1, you can check out our review here.
The second episode shifts the focus of the game to Rocket Raccoon, an adorable but nonetheless lethal genetically-engineered creature with a proclivity for firearms and other pyrotechnics. Titled Under Pressure, the episode will delve into the past of Rocket as the Guardians continue their escapades amongst the stars. Their adventures will be hampered by the dogged pursuit of their enemies and the continual risk of internal strife and conflict tearing the team apart.
Aside from a bit about the story, we don't yet have a trailer or any idea which musical tracks will be featured in the next episode. (Given the title, it may be possible to see the titular track from The Police making an appearance.) If you don't yet own Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, you can get it for PC on Steam or at GOG.com [Affiliate Link]. You can also pick it up for 15% off at the Humble Store, although you have to act fast - the sale ends today (May 29, 2017) at around 1:00 PM Eastern. Console & mobile players can pick it up via their system's respective storefronts.
