Marvel’s Avengers PS4 players aren’t just going to get Spider-Man as an exclusive hero later in 2021 — the freebies and early bonuses will kick off from day one.
A new post on the PlayStation Blog details a ton of free and time-limited exclusive content coming to the PlayStation 4. Among these PS4-specific goodies are Community Challenges with exclusive rewards for the PlayStation Community.
Today’s reveal adds on to yesterday’s announcement that Crystal Dynamics’ own interpretation of Spider-Man would be coming to the game, but only for Marvel’s Avengers PS4 players. Spidey is set to debut sometime in early 2021, but many of these benefits will be available even before launch day arrives.
What Are the Marvel’s Avengers PS4 Exclusives?
”We previously stated that we’re huge Marvel fans, but we’re also PlayStation fans,” stated the PlayStation Blog post. “We are honored to be working with them to provide additional advantages to PlayStation players.”
Here’s a rundown of the exclusives for PlayStation players:
- First access to the beta (announced during the previous War Table stream)
- Exclusive access to certain Community Challenges, each of which has platform-exclusive rewards
- 30-day exclusive access to:
- A Legendary Outfit
- A Legendary Emote
- An Epic Takedown
- A Nameplate for each hero as they’re released, including the six launch heroes
- Bundles for each post-launch hero (including Hawkeye), which will contain:
- A Rare Outfit
- A Nameplate
- 100 Credits
- A free bundle for Ms. Marvel at Launch
That’s a pretty substantial list of exclusives! Unfortunately, we haven’t seen anything comparable announced for PC or Xbox One players just yet, although that doesn’t necessarily mean that they won’t get any platform exclusive rewards themselves.
For now, Marvel’s Avengers PS4 players are probably getting the best deal of the bunch. You can pre-order the game via its official website.
