Marvel's Avengers has been out for a few months now and it's already launched the first of what will hopefully be many post-launch characters. Kate Bishop arrived late last year, and now her mentor Hawkeye is entering the stage with a time-traveling, mind-bending story that should be well-familiar to fans of Marvel comics.

There's More Than One Hawkeye in Marvel's Avengers
The Marvel's Avengers Hawkeye Update won't just feature one Hawkeye! At least two Hawkeyes will be featuring in the update's story, and one of them is from the future.
Old Man Hawkeye has seen a terrible future where a Kree invasion has devastated the Earth. Now, Operation Hawkeye: Future Imperfect will have our favorite marksman try to stop this invasion from happening in the first place, working together with the revived Avengers to fight against the horrors of an alien attack.
Hawkeye served as Kate Bishop's mentor and has a lot in common with her, but you'd be mistaken to think that these two characters were the same. Clint Barton focuses more on precision, high-damage strikes as explained in today's news post. He won't be restricted to ranged combat, either; the character's "Ronin period" served as the inspiration for adding a suite of sword abilities.
The Operation Hawkeye: Future Imperfect missions will be adding some much-needed story content to the game, but that's not all that's one the way — a new "Wastelands" region will appear on the War Table along with Villain Sectors and other missions at launch and in the coming months.
