Developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix, Marvel's Avengers was supposed to be an epic flop. Instead, it has turned out to be alright. Not bad or great, just alright.
What is Exotic gear? Well, out of all the tiers of gear available in the game, Exotic is the highest tier available. So, if you want to be the top dog and show everyone how badass of a Thor you are, you need to get Exotic gear. Makes sense, except right now Exotic gear is bugged... but not how everyone thought it was.
Basically, players would go on a mission regarding Elite Hives and at the end they would get some gear. One drop would show that it was a level 1 green gear, which definitely isn't the Exotic gear that players would want. In a Reddit post, a developer explained that the level 1 green item has been replaced with appropriate gear, and that Exotics are in fact dropping as they should, which many thought wasn't the case.
What About The Other Marvel's Avengers Bugs?
In a post released a few days ago, it was revealed that there are "parallel patches" in development that are aimed to fix the current list of bugs, which include "significant improvements requested for matchmaking, retroactive unlock fixes," and more fixes that are in the works for next week's patch.
The development team is also working on fixing crashes that players have been experiencing by asking how and where players crashed, which is good. However, a more notable and weirder issue is that players have been dealing with a bug relating to cosmetics for a while now. Essentially, unlocked outfits were reverting to a locked state, and while the issue has been fixed for those who have not encountered the bug, those that have encountered the bug will be resolved the next patch.
