Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Comic

Today Sony Interactive Entertainment had news to share about the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, albeit it's not yet a release date.

We learn from the PlayStation Blog that a prequel comic is coming focusing on what's happening to both Peter Parker and Miles Morales before the new game. Here's how the story is described:

In this story, their lives collide as Peter, Miles, and MJ attempt to balance their responsibilities to the city, and each other. They keep coming back to one of the main themes of the comic: is magic real? Because in this action-packed issue, a beloved Super Villain makes their first appearance in our universe and appears to have supernatural abilities that defy mere webs and fists: none other than The Hood!

The comic book is written by Christos Gage and drawn by Ig Guara. It'll be available for free in the US on May 6 to celebrate Free Comic Book Day at participating comic book stores. A digital download will be available on the Marvel Unlimited app or For those outside the United States, a download on the Marvel Unlimited app will come at a later date.

We also get another bit of news about Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for PS5. It'll be priced at $49.99 and it'll be released later this month. If you already have the original game for PS4, you can get an upgrade for $10.

At the moment, we know that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will release in the fall for PS5, but the release date still eludes us. In the meanwhile, you can read our review of its predecessor, in which our Alex Santa Maria said that it "delivers off the wall combat and a fresh take on the Spider-mythos that should have fans of all stripes pumped."
