The recently released Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch has entered the UK GfK chart in first place, a mere 2 days after the game released. This new version of the game, which originally came out on the Nintendo Wii U, adds in a bunch of new stuff like new vehicles, tracks and new vehicle parts you unlock every time you've collected 30 coins until you reach 450 coins, after which you'll unlock a new weapon part every 50 coins you collect. The most notable addition is, of course, the newly revamped battle mode, although some newly added accessibility features have also been making some waves.
Here's the full top 10:
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Little Nightmares
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- LEGO Worlds
- Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands
- Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
- FIFA 17
- Horizon Zero Dawn
Outside of the new faces, the top 10 remains largely unchanged. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has managed to claw its way back up from the tenth place to a fourth place tied with Little Nightmares. Part of what fueled Zelda's rise was a delivery of new Switch consoles in the UK. LEGO Worlds is slowly showing signs of slowing down, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands has fallen down from first place to seventh place, and Horizon Zero Dawn is just barely managing to stay in the top 10. The omnipresent Grand Theft Auto V is still as good ane near unbeatable, celebrating yet another week of being near the top of the charts.
