Nintendo has revealed the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 4 release date. The upcoming DLC, which arrives next week, will add another eight tracks into the game, and there's an additional surprise in the form of "characters from past Mario Kart games", starting with everyone's favorite egg-slinger Birdo.

The new courses in Booster Course Pass Wave 4 consist of a mixture of returning levels and new stages. Among the older courses making their triumphant comeback are Singapore Speedway from Mario Kart Tour, DK Summit from Mario Kart Wii, and Riverside Park from the Game Boy Advance's Mario Kart: Super Circuit. A new course is also being added in the form of Yoshi's Island. You can see a preview of the courses being added in the DLC right here.

Here's a full list of all the courses that are coming as part of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 4.

  • Singapore Speedway (Mario Kart Tour)
  • Bangkok Rush (Mario Kart Tour)
  • DK Summit (Mario Kart Wii)
  • Amsterdam Drift (Mario Kart Tour)
  • Riverside Park (Mario Kart: Super Circuit)
  • Mario Circuit (Mario Kart DS)
  • Waluigi Stadium (Mario Kart: Double Dash!!)
  • Yoshi's Island (new course)

Each wave of this DLC, including November's Wave 3, has added eight courses to the game, and we can look forward to another sixteen arriving before the DLC is done. However, with Wave 4, Nintendo will also begin adding past characters from the Mario Kart series into the game, starting with Birdo, who will be available as part of Wave 4. We'll have to wait and see who Nintendo has in store for us after that.

You can pick up the Mario Kart 8 Booster Course Pass DLC right now on the Nintendo eShop, where it'll cost you $24.99 or your regional equivalent. The DLC is also available as part of a Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack membership, along with extra goodies like N64 and Genesis retro games and access to Animal Crossing and Splatoon 2 DLC.
