If you're a fan of dystopian looter shooters, then it's time to rejoice, because Small Impact Games and Team17 have announced a new Marauders beta date. The dieselpunk shooter will let you test out new locations, weapons, and more next week, but only if you've preordered the full game.
When is the next Marauders beta date?
After the Marauders closed alpha back in May, you're now getting a chance to test out the looter shooter once more. The next Marauders beta date is July 20th, which is when you'll be able to parachute into this looter-shooter and stress-test its mechanics and maps. The beta will run until July 25th and will be available to anyone who's preordered the full release (which you can still do over on the official website if you want to participate). Naturally, you'll be getting some new content for your trouble if you do head into the beta.
First up, as developer Small Impact Games told IGN, the new beta will include two new raid locations: abandoned agricultural hub Terraformer and "breach-able frigate" Merchant Ship. You're also getting three new weapons in the form of the Scrap Bomb, the Klubb Machine Pistol, and the Heavy Thompson. The new Marauders closed beta will also include new quality-of-life improvements like quick loot and quick drop functionality, as well as foldable inventory bags and better audio effects. What is Marauders?
Marauders is a multiplayer first-person shooter that will likely be familiar to you if you've played games like The Cycle or Escape from Tarkov. It's a looter-shooter in which you'll need to navigate a hostile dystopian sci-fi landscape, scavenge for resources, then extract in order to cash in your loot. Along the way, you'll be dealing with other players and hostile AI enemies, so you'll need to be on your toes if you want to survive. This isn't a PvP arena shooter like the recently-announced Escape from Tarkov Arena; it's closer to the main Escape from Tarkov experience, so it should be right up your street if you like that game.
We don't yet have a full release date for Marauders, but the next closed beta period begins on July 20th and runs until July 25th. If you want access to the beta, all you need to do is preorder the game, which should also give you access to subsequent closed beta tests.
