AMC has announced The Magnificent Trufflepigs, a new game from the creator of Everybody's Gone to the Rapture that's all about digging holes and romance. No, really.
The Magnificent Trufflepigs is a first-person adventure with some notable names behind it. It was created by Andrew Crawshaw's new indie studio Thunkd; Crenshaw is best known for his work on Everybody's Gone to the Rapture and Amnesia: a Machine for Pigs. Now, he's back at it with a brand-new game, backed by AMC and Sundance TV.
This upcoming adventure will feature Doctor Who's Arthur Darvill and Another Eden's Lucy Fish in the lead roles — check out its teaser trailer to get a feel for its vibe!
Dig Up a Mystery in The Magnificent Trufflepigs
In The Magnificent Trufflepigs, you'll be taking on the role of Adam. Adam has returned to his childhood home in the British village of Stanning. A local woman named Beth is searching for treasure and she needs your help, so you'll be heading out to a farm with a metal detector in hopes of unearthing it.
A quick glance at the trailer shows a game that gives off some serious Firewatch vibes. You talk to Beth through a radio as you search for this mysterious treasure underground. There's a bit of a mystery here, too - it looks like there might be more to Beth's story than she's telling you.
Beth once found a mysterious earring on the same farm you're searching. She never found the other matching earring, however, and now this farm is all set to be demolished in just a week. Throughout your hunt, you'll also have a conversation with Beth and try to uncover the truth through dialogue.
When is The Magnificent Trufflepigs Release Date?
