Luigi's Mansion 3 will get paid DLC post-launch, according to the game's official website. The DLC will focus on the multiplayer ScareScraper and ScreamPark modes.

We're not yet sure exactly what this DLC will entail. The website for Luigi's Mansion 3 simply says "paid DLC will come to [the game] in the future" and will add new content to the multiplayer modes above. It's unlikely we'll see DLC for the single-player campaign though. Speaking to Gamespot back in July this year, Luigi's Mansion 3 producer Kensuke Tanabe said single-player DLC "would have been possible". Despite this, Tanabe said he wanted to "experience completing the whole hotel" and that adding new single-player content wouldn't be satisfying.

ScareScraper is a returning multiplayer mode from the 3DS game Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. In this mode, players must work together to clear objectives on a series of floors. You and your buddies will need to clear out ghosts from each floor under a time limit. Some floors contain bosses, with the final floor (if you're not playing on Endless mode) boasting the hardest boss. DLC content could include new bosses, extra floors, or new mechanics for this mode.

ScreamPark is a completely new multiplayer mode created for Luigi's Mansion 3. Originally revealed earlier this month, ScreamPark pits Team Luigi against Team Gooigi (yep, it's Luigi but made of goo). The two teams must compete in order to see who can suck up the most ghosts, break the most targets, and collect the most coins. The ScreamPark mode will support up to eight players playing on a single Nintendo Switch console.

Luigi's Mansion 3 launches for Nintendo Switch on October 31st (appropriate for maximum spookiness). In the meantime, you can check out our review of the first game.
