ARPG fans should get ready for a new adventure -- Amazon Games and Smilegate have set the Lost Ark release date for February 2022 on PC via Steam.
Although Amazon Games is better known for its recent release of New World, it isn't the only project that it has in the works. Amazon Games had signed a publishing agreement with Smilegate in August of last year; less than a year later, it announced that it was bringing Smilegate's MMOARPG Lost Ark to the West. It proved to be a good decision -- a closed beta for the game debuted in the Top 10 on Steam earlier this year.
Lost Ark provides players with 15 distinct character classes as they search for the titular Lost Ark across cities, castles, and catacombs. Unfortunately, the game returned to development after the closed beta ended and there wasn't much else to do but wait. Fortunately, the wait is almost over -- Lost Ark is launching on Steam in a little more than two months.
"We are thrilled to bring Lost Ark to more of the world, and with today’s launch date announcement we are one step closer to the moment when players can experience the game’s stunning world and exhilarating combat for themselves," Amazon Games Vice President Christoph Hartmann. "In February players will be able to jump into the fantastic world of Arkesia for the first time and create an experience that is truly their own."
When is the Lost Ark Release Date?
The Lost Ark release date is February 11, 2022. The game will be made available on PC via Steam. Players who purchase a Founder's Pack will get a three-day head start and gain access to the game on February 8.
