A Los Angeles Valiant St. Jude's partnership has been formed and the Esports organization will be trying to raise a hefty chunk of cash over the next two years.

The Los Angeles Valiant is one of two Overwatch League teams representing the City of Angels. They decided to run with the angelic theme a little more seriously this year by announcing a Los Angeles Valiant St. Jude's partnership.

The Esports team has committed themselves to raising $500,000 over the next two years as part of this Los Angeles Valiant St. Jude's partnership. The money will be benefitting the children's hospital that is committed to treating some of the sickest kids out there without charging parents a dime.

Los Angeles Valiant and Immortals Executive Chairman Noah Winston stated to GamesIndustry.biz that he "[believes] wholeheartedly in the mission of St. Jude" - certainly an understandable sentiment considering the people they serve. The organization plans on running a number of different events in order to bring in donations that will ultimately benefit sick children in need. For example, a charity stream by Joshua "Ah Craaaap" Sharon will be taking place on December 19, 2018, at 3:00 PM Eastern Time on his Twitch channel as one of many events ultimately benefitting the hospital.

Fans of the Los Angeles Valiant will have a special treat this year - they're one of three teams that are getting the chance to host Homestand games in Season 2 of the Overwatch League. More information about future charity events as part of this partnership will likely pop up on their Twitter, so go ahead and follow them there if you don't do it already.

What do you think of the Los Angeles Valiant St. Jude's partnership? Do you think that Esports organizations could do more charitable work? What's the best charity event you've seen in Esports? Let us know in the comments below!
