Stuck in Time

For indie developer Housemade Inc., it's been a wild ride these last few weeks for their idle title Loop Odyssey, now renamed to Stuck in Time due to a DMCA. The reason? Its name and looks were very similar to Loop Hero, which led to it being taken down a few weeks ago back in March.

Interestingly, the developer went on their Discord and asked for suggestions for some new names. There were a bunch of suggestions such as Mana Looper, One More Loop, Rebirth Adventure, and Stuck in Time. Stuck in Time was chosen as the winner, and to celebrate, the game has also gone on sale for 30% off ($5.59) until the 12th of April.

What is Stuck in Time?

While Stuck in Time looks quite similar to Loop Hero, they play differently. It's an idle game that's meant to be played as a side game rather than as the main attraction, and its progression is slower than regular games. Players will plan their actions ahead of time and choose which path to take, who to fight, and what loot to take before starting the loop. Time is the main currency, so you're encouraged to optimize your experience to gain the most of your idling time. There are 10 characters that can be found that will help players understand the world as well, so be sure to search them out and talk to them. Or, if that's not your thing, you can kill them and loot their corpses because why not? The curse won't redeem itself and there are different endings to discover, so hop to it.
