After quite the wait, The Long Dark ERRANT PILGRIM Survival Update has finally arrived! This next batch of content in the snowy survival game will give players access to a new region, new gameplay systems, deadly timberwolves, and more!
If you haven't played The Long Dark, you're missing out on a very unique survival experience. While many games in the genre have zombies or monsters to contend with, The Long Dark is genuinely about surviving in a harsh environment packed with deadly wildlife and not much in the way of supplies.
Now, the next update to The Long Dark Survival Mode — titled ERRANT PILGRIM — is bringing a bunch of new content for the game for players to enjoy.
What's Coming in The Long Dark ERRANT PILGRIM Survival Update
Here's what's new in ERRANT PILGRIM according to a news post on the game's Steam Community page:
- A new region with a two-part environmental puzzle, featuring multiple industrial buildings and deadly timberwolves.
- A new super-tough Challenge mode inspired by the community that literally none of the devs have managed to beat. (That means it's probably pretty tough.)
- New gear items, tools, and systems to improve late-game survival.
- Three new feats.
- More than 10 minutes of new music.
- The return of Fluffy.
Of course, this isn't an all-inclusive list; as noted in a news post on the game's Steam Community page, The Long Dark will also be doing a whole bunch of tweaks and fixes and adding a few other things that aren't mentioned here.
You'll be able to play The Long Dark ERRANT PILGRIM when it launches sometime in the middle of December 2019. In the meantime, you can buy The Long Dark on sale during the Steam Autumn Sale at the price of $10.19 or your regional equivalent, a 66% discount off of its regular price of $29.99.
