Little Big Planet titles will be receiving a change for the new year but instead of getting new and improved content the game will be losing all it’s Marvel DLC. It was announced on the 15th of December that the entirety of Marvel DLC Packs available for the game will be removed from the store on December 31st. While the Marvel content is being removed from the store it will still be available to use in-game for those that have already purchased it.
This leaves a little time for interested gamers to get their hands on Marvel DLC for Little Big Planet before it’s gone for who knows how long. Super hero themed level packs and costumes are still currently available. To sweeten saying goodbye to the comic book inspired fun the Marvel DLC is going on sale.
A Marvel Mega Pack is now available in the SCEE Playstation store for £4.99/€5.99. The reduced price content will include the Marvel Level Kit and all six of the Marvel Costume Packs. That will add 30 super hero costumes to sackboys and sackgirls closets.
A counterpart offer has been made for American Little Big Planet players as well. The SCEA Playstation Store offers discounted costume packs for $3.29 instead of $5.99 as well as the Marvel level kit for $2.74 instead of the usual $4.99. The Marvel Arcade Pack for Little Big Planet on PS Vita has been reduced in price from $4.99 to $2.74.
The Marvel Mega Pack offers huge savings on this exclusive content for Little Big Planet 3. Once players have purchased the DLC they’ll be able to download it at anytime even after the Marvel DLC has been removed from the store.
Sadly it appears the licensing agreement between Disney and Sony for Marvel and Little Big Planet has come to an end but not for players who purchase the content now.
