A new Life is Strange: True Colors update is live on PS5 and Xbox. The new graphics options and fixes in Life is Strange: True Colors Patch #3 is coming to other platforms later this week.

Life is Strange: True Colors has launched a few weeks ago after being revealed a bit early due to a leak and it features a ton of collectibles for players to find. Unfortunately, the game has had somewhat lackluster performance in the graphics department, especially on consoles. Some of those issues (along with other platforms) are changing this week thanks to Patch #3.

What's New in Life is Strange: True Colors Update Patch #3?

The first major addition in Life is Strange: True Colors Update Patch #3 is improvements to the game's graphics, especially on console.

The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are getting "High Resolution" and "High Performance" graphics toggles, the latter of which will give players up to 60FPS. On the PC side of things, HDR has been enabled and framerate issues due to Steph Power have been fixed.

Graphics aside, one of the major issues with the game was trophies and collectibles not being awarded; these should be retroactively given to players when they reach the title screen or load a different save file. This includes the Platinum trophy for the game on PlayStation consoles.

Unfortunately, some issues still remain -- Stadia players are having issues getting extra content entitlements. There are a handful of other bugs in the game, too, such as an error with the DLC's save files.

When is the Life is Strange: True Colors Update Patch #3 Release Date?

Life is Strange: True Colors Update Patch 3 is out now on PS5 and Xbox. Gamers on PS4 will get this update on either Tuesday, October 5, 2021, or Wednesday, October 6, 2021, and players on Steam and Stadia will get the update on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

Regardless of your platform, it seems that this patch takes care of some of the annoying graphical issues that have plagued players since launch. You can buy Life is Strange: True Colors via its official website for $59.99 or your regional equivalent.
