GungHo Online Entertainment America and Grasshopper Manufacture have announced LET IT DATE. This will be a dating simulator spin-off to their wacky action game LET IT DIE.
Now first, let's address the big fat seasonal elephant in the room. It's very nearly April Fools Day, so it's very likely that this is all simply a joke. Especially given the full reveal is set for April the First. Any other studio and we'd shrug it off as a quaint little marketing ploy. With Suda51 being who he is, there's probably a little more to this than a few mocked up screenshots.
The game's reveal took place on Twitter alongside a few screenshots. The overall goal appears to be to woo Uncle Death himself.

GungHo Entertainment America did also provide a description of the Death-dating sim, which read as follows:
"Let It Date players can enjoy the underworld of Let It Die in a new sensual and casual way where they get to know their favorite characters on a deeper, romantic level – like Uncle Death. Let It Date invites a new audience to experience the witty and charming dialogue in the Tower of Barbs, who may not be a fan of the hardcore action genre."
Again, grains of salt at the ready. Here's hoping there's something to this joke, even if it's just a small dating sim experience.
LET IT DATE connects back to roguelike action game LET IT DIE. Under the supervision of a skateboarding grim reaper called Uncle Death, players fight through a tower, obtain various types of weapons and armor, and find creatures and mushrooms to eat in order to stay alive. Upon death, a player’s “death data” circulates among other player’s games, letting you appear as an enemy. The sharing of “death data” is one of the game's various asynchronous multiplayer elements.
