The LEGO NINJAGO Movie is Getting a Video Game

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and The LEGO Group announced today that there will be a The LEGO NINJAGO Movie Video Game. The LEGO NINJAGO Movie is due in theaters on October 13, 2017. The tie-in game will be released shortly before on October 6, 2017.

TT Games is developing the video game which will allow players to experience the animated ninja action in an interactive way as they play as their favorite Ninjago characters and attempt to master the art of “Ninjagility”. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will be publishing the game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Steam.

Managing Director of TT Games, Tom Stoneexplains more about the upcoming title saying,

The LEGO NINJAGO Movie Video Game brings the non-stop action and thrilling combat of the film into the living room so kids can embark on their own Ninjago adventures. Enhanced movements will help players traverse Ninjago with the fluidity and grace of a secret ninja warrior and improve their combat skills.
The game includes popular LEGO Ninjas Lloyd, Nya, Kai, Cole, Zane and Master Wu as playable characters. They must defend Ninjago island from the evil Lord Garmadon and his Shark Army by mastering the art of Ninjagility. This special martial art will enable players to perform wall-running, high-jumping and even the power of Spinjitzu.

Sean McEvoy, VP of Digital Games at The LEGO Group, says,

The LEGO Group is pleased to extend the Ninjago play experience with The LEGO NINJAGO Movie Video Game. Fans will love playing as their favourite Ninjago heroes and joining an epic adventure of good versus evil.

Featuring eight large locations from the film, each includes a unique Challenge Dojo where players can hone their skills. There are also Battle Maps where players can challenge friends and family in four different game modes, with competitive split-screen local game play for up to four players. The LEGO NINJAGO Movie Video Game will be releasing October 6 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
