For those of you that have been patiently waiting, the Rick Sanchez MultiVersus update is finally here, with the character from the hit TV show Rick and Morty added as a Mage character to the slowly growing MultiVersus roster. Other additions include an XP nerf, loading performance improvements, bugfixes, and much more. Let's take a look at the latest MultiVersus update, shall we?
What's included in the latest MultiVersus patch notes?
The Rick Sanchez MultiVersus addition is the biggest highlight of this patch, but there's a bunch of other additions that MultiVersus fans will appreciate. Loading performance improvements on last-generation consoles (PS4, Xbox One) should come as a very welcome inclusion, and fixed bugs include some players not being able to equip profile icons, along with a nasty bug where the game would sometimes freeze at the end-of-game screen.
What isn't fantastic is the XP required to go from level 3-15 on the character mastery track, which has been doubled. The reason for this could be that players are too quick at leveling and running out of content, although the MultiVersus devs simply say it's to "make it a bit more of a journey". With perks being unlocked as players level through the talent tree, this could leave players playing with inferior characters for a much longer period of time, which isn't great.
As for other additions in the MultiVersus patch notes, the initial tutorial character has changed from Wonder Woman to Shaggy, with Wonder Woman now purchasable for Gold or Gleamium. Attack decay steps have also been added to the tutorial, which should help new players get into the swing of things much more quickly.
Last but not least is a fixed issue in Coop Versus, with the AI previously spawning only Wonder Woman and Reindog bots. That has now been fixed, so you should see other bots in-game now. There are also plenty of other minor balance changes to characters, so be sure to check out the full patch notes to see what's changed.
