Rumors regarding an L.A. Noire remaster came true today after Rockstar Games announced that its action-adventure crime detective game will make its way to current gen-consoles and HTC Vive in Fall 2017.

Announced on Rockstar Games’ newswire, the L.A. Noire remaster on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will provide enhanced graphics as well as “new cinematic camera angles.” PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X will also receive 4K support, though HDR was not mentioned.

Meanwhile, Nintendo Switch’s L.A. Noire remaster will fully utilize the game’s hardware. Changes include “Joy-Con mode with gyroscopic, gesture-based controls, HD rumble and new wide and over-the-shoulder-camera angles, plus contextual touch screen controls for portable detective work.”

The three console versions will include all DLCs from the original game. DLCs released include outfits, weapons, and a total of five investigative cases. The main story along with the DLC missions should take a little over 20 hours to complete.

Lastly, L.A. Noire on the HTC Vive will be vastly different from the other versions. The Vive version features only seven self-contained cases but was rebuilt for virtual reality.

Overall, all versions of the L.A. Noire remaster should highlight the game’s impressive facial animations. When the original game first released in 2011, the game impressed many due to its innovative tech to realistically recreate motion actor’s facial animations. This tech played a significant role gameplay-wise as players had to analyze if witnesses were lying based on their facial expressions and other information available. Due to its impressive tech and storytelling, L.A. Noire became the first video game to be featured in the Tribeca Film Festival.

More information on L.A. Noire remaster will be announced as we come closer to its November 17 release date.
