The power of friendship beats everything! In this case it's the friendship of two young girls. Earlier this year Knights And Bikes came out. Now it seems like the game is being adapted into an animated TV series.
Announced today by Tiger Aspect Productions, Knights And Bikes has been optioned to become an animated TV show. The show will be based on both the game, and the book series published by Knights Of. If it will be a general adaption of the story or its own thing is still yet to be seen, as there are not many details on the upcoming show other than that it will be aiming for kids aged 6-12. Tiger Aspect Productions has worked on several television shows in the past, including Mr. Bean, Aliens Love Underpants, and Peaky Blinders. In the press release Tom Beattie, head of the Kids and Family division at Tiger Aspect, had the following to say:
Having been a huge fan of Rex and Moo’s previous games, it’s a no brainer for us to develop the world of Knights And Bikes as an animated series. With a funky female duo at its heart, a stunning world to explore and two brilliant books from Knights Of - we’re thrilled to be part of the adventure.
The game follows two young girls, named Nessa and Demelza, as they adventure on Penfurzy Island and attempt to find the hidden treasure so they can save Demelza's home. Along the way, they accidentally release a curse that turns random objects evil, and must work together to stop the curse. Knights And Bikes was developed by Foam Sword and published by Double Fine on August 27th.
Knights And Bikes is currently available on PC and PlayStation 4. If you'd like to know more about the game you can read our review here.
