in the wake of King's Quest: A Knight to Remember, the first chapter, being released for free on PlayStation Plus, Sierra (part of Activision), has announced the second chapter will be releasing later this month developed by The Odd Gentleman. King's Quest: Rubble Without a Cause continues the journey of Graham in this prequel to the classic point and click adventure that has retooled it into more of a Telltale style episodic adventure.
King's Quest: Rubble Without a Cause will be releasing worldwide on December 16th on PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox One and 360, and Windows PC. However, those on PlayStation devices in North America will be able to play it in the afternoon on December 15th.

In King's Quest: Rubble Without a Cause the newly crowned, and ill-equipped King Graham must prove himself to be the leader they deserve by rescuing them from a band of goblins who are holding the kingdom hostage. Graham continues telling the story of his rise to his granddaughter (and possible sequel hook) Gwendolyn with puzzles, places and characters hinted at occasionally in the original series of games.

On the PlayStation Plus offer (which is just episode 1 A Knight to Remember), and the King's Quest Season Pass, it is important to note that the Season Pass does not come with the epilogue episode that you get if you purchase the whole collection upfront. How much they will charge for it separately or how important or big it will be is unknown, but it is something you should be aware of.

I've been meaning to take a look at this as I grew up with some of the King's Quest games and have fond memories especially of King's Quest 6 which I played a lot of. I probably will try to get through episode 1 by the 16th and maybe even do a review as we don't have one. Have heard good things about this re-imagining in general and what I've seen does look like artistically the world we came to know and love.
