Today developer Action Square released two videos of the upcoming action game Kingdom: The Blood, based on the Kingdom Netflix show.
The first video is a gameplay trailer showing off the progress made by the developers and what we can expect from the hack & slash mechanics that aim to reproduce Korean martial arts.
Take a look at the trailer below for a taste of the battles you'll be able to enjoy in this upcoming game.
The second video includes commentary from the developers, explaining how particular attention has been put into reproducing traditional Korean outfits like the hanbok and gat and environments like the palace and Hanyang market.
We see how martial arts movements have been reproduced via motion capture and how key moments from the show are showcased in the gameplay, with zombies appearing and suddenly attacking the hero.
The story mode lets you challenge difficult stages, while the Conquest mode provides multiplayer, both co-op with the Zombie Defense and Multi-Boss mode, and PvP.
Players can unlock a variety of actions and equip them to customize their play style, while characters from the series like Lee Chang are playable.
Kingdom: The Blood will release for both PC and mobile, and cross-platform gameplay will be supported. At the moment, a release date has not been announced.
