SNK has released a King of Fighters XV demo on PlayStation, over a year after the game was originally released. The demo will give you a chance to try out a sample of the game's full roster, although it unfortunately doesn't seem to be available on other platforms.
This new King of Fighters XV PlayStation demo can be downloaded in North America, as well as the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy. You'll get to play as 15 different King of Fighters XV characters, including returning favorites from previous games and new characters alike.
Two modes of play will be available: offline versus and training. You can't match up with others online to try out the netcode, unfortunately, but you should be able to get a feel for the fighting engine so you can decide whether or not the game is for you. Of course, you can also grab a buddy and take them on if they're in the same room as you.
Here's the full roster of characters you'll be able to check out in the King of Fighters XV demo.
- Benimaru Nikaido
- Kyo Kusanagi
- Iori Yagami
- Chizuru Kagura
- Terry Bogard
- Ryo Sakazaki
- Mai Shiranui
- Athena Asamiya
- Kula Diamond
Bear in mind that you won't be able to transfer save data from the PlayStation demo to the finished version, although there's not much to "unlock" in the demo, per se. You can still transfer the skill you accumulate while you fight, though, so it's worth getting some practice in on the demo if you're intending to take your King of Fighters XV game global.
You can check out the King of Fighters XV demo right now on PlayStation consoles. There's no word yet on whether the demo is coming to Xbox or PC, so stay tuned for more on that if and when we get it.
