The newest entry in SNK's popular fighting game franchise The King of Fighters, The King of Fighters XIV, will be receiving a special "Burn to Fight" Premium Edition from American publishing company Atlus USA later this year. Players who purchase the "Burn to Fight" Premium Edition will receive a Steelbook clad with art of franchise protagonist Kyo Kusanagi, a three disk soundtrack of music from The King of Fighters XIV, an artbook containing original drawings of characters and stages from across the franchise, and a collector's box for keeping everything secured in. In addition, DLC of Kyo Kusanagi's classic game costume will be made available to all players during launch week.

Unfortunately, it seems that the Steelbook for the "Burn to Fight" Premium Edition is the same Steelbook that players would receive if they pre-order The King of Fighters XIV from Atlus USA.

Much like fellow fighting game Street Fighter IV, The King of Fighters XIV will use 3D models of player characters on a 2D background, and will feature a robust 50 character fighting roster containing franchise staples such as Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, K', Mai Shiranui and others. While SNK staff members have commented that The King of Fighters XIV will begin an entirely new storyline, further details on this new storyline are unknown at the time of this article.

Players will be able to purchase the "Burn to Fight" Premium Edition for $79.99 in the USA and $99.99 in Canada. Deep Silver, the European publishing company for The King of Fighters franchise, has not publicly stated whether they will produce a similar limited edition release bundle.

King of Fighters XIV will be released for the PlayStation 4 on August 23, 2016, for North America, August 25 for Japan, and August 26 for European audiences. The regular North American release edition will be sold for $59.99 in the USA and $79.99 in Canada.
