King Arthur: Knight's Tale release date for Steam Early Access is on January 12, 2021, Neocore has announced.

Kickstarted earlier this year, the game will also be released later on for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The title is a turn-based tactical RPG, a "unique hybrid between turn-based tactical games and traditional, character-centric RPGs." It is a new take on the classic Arthurian mythology that twists the traditional story around, as it is a dark fantasy where the player controls Mordred instead of King Arthur.

Players will be able to choose from more than 30 heroes and control a small team of them. Five classes will be available to use, and combined they all have hundreds of skills and artifacts to smite your foes with. As Mordred, you will be able to gather your own Knights of the Round Table and send them on knightly quests. Death is final in-game, so you'll have to be careful with your heroes, who can level up and have their own unique skill trees and complex loot system.

Avalon will be entirely presented on the Adventure Map, which allows players to select their missions and explore various places. Management in the game will focus on rebuilding Camelot and expanding it with new buildings and upgrades while also offering different ways to heal and manage the Knights of the Round Table.

King Arthur: Knight's Tale is coming to Steam's Early Access on January 12, 2021. The game will also be released later on for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. If you're interested, be sure to wishlist it on Steam here or visit the official website.
