Funtime was revealed at the Kinda Funny Games Showcase 2019 and, well, it certainly does look like a fun time.
You can check out a limited amount of gameplay in this tweet from Kinda Funny Games (along with a couple of other titles announced at the show).
This shoot 'em up-style game has players moving along on a flat plane, avoiding enemies and firing their colorful cannons. Some of the levels feature maze-like components that will make navigation and survival all the more challenging. Colors are important in Funtime; you have to change out the colors you're using in order to survive in this game. All the while, a bunch of jamming tunes will keep the action very exciting.
You'll have to pilot your ship through intense levels that get more and more difficult as you go on; players must avoid dozens of hazardous colorful shapes that fly around the screen while simultaneously taking care to pump as much damage into their enemies as possible without risking their hides too often. There also appears to be some sort of pickups that you'll have to collect as you fly through space in your awesome little ship.
Players will get to rock their way through more than 50 challenging levels with 8 unique game modes and a heck of a lot of replayability. The dev has put an itch.io page up for the game, but it isn't yet available for sale, nor has any price been announced just yet.
You can also see the Funtime Announcement Trailer below to get a higher quality look at this game in something other than Twitter's terrible, terrible video player. Funtime will arrive on PC sometime later in 2019.
