The KFG Showcase E3 2019 has had some pretty insane releases showed off, and the last game they demoed was Adam's Ascending, a space exploration game from a one-man development team. Adam's Ascending follows the story of Adam, a young boy who loses his father in an accident aboard some sort of space station. Separated from his father and alone in the harsh realities of space, Adam devotes his life to understanding and exploring the universe in the hopes of once again finding his father, hopefully, alive and well.
The game features a central theme of exploration, tasking the player with exploring, and surviving, an unknown planet dotted with islands. The choices that the player makes will affect how the story unfolds in this narratively-driven game about survival, exploration and a search for family. As well as dangerous obstacles, and plenty of combat as well, the game features puzzles based around the environment. The player must carefully investigate the world around them to try and solve the riddles of the natural world to come out on top against nature itself.
The music of Adam's Ascending is being produced by SoundCloud musician Voltz Supreme, and has a very ambient soulful sound for the most part, although this pace will certainly pick up during combat and more intense gameplay moments. You can check out the new story trailer below, and feel free to check out the game's website to get your hands on a free demo of the game, or even support the developers while they create the game. There is not currently any release date set for the game, but you can be sure that updates will come via the game's Twitter page.
