Ember Lab has announced that a Kena: Bridge of Spirits Xbox release is happening later this year, with the acclaimed action-adventure game set to debut on Microsoft's consoles in August.
Per a press release, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, which debuted on PlayStation in 2021 before hitting PC the following year, will arrive on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on August 15th.
The Xbox version of the game will, according to Ember Lab, feature Xbox-exclusive goodies, including "Xbox Exclusive pirate-themed Rot hats" and a unique staff for Kena.
You'll also be able to pick up a physical Premium Edition of Kena: Bridge of Spirits on Xbox, and it'll come with extra stuff like a soundtrack and a sticker sheet, plus the aforementioned Xbox-exclusive bonuses for the game.
Ember Lab COO Josh Grier says the studio is "thrilled" that Kena is heading to Xbox, and that the new platforms represent the chance to "share Kena's journey with more players". It's hard to argue with that.
If you're not familiar with Kena: Bridge of Spirits, it's an action-adventure game that draws on influences like The Legend of Zelda; in fact, the viral Zelda-themed short film Terrible Fate was also created by Ember Lab.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits has you playing as the titular Kena, a Spirit Guide in search of a sacred mountain shrine. As she searches for the shrine, she must also help the ghosts of a village trapped in the past to move on.
Gameplay-wise, Kena is all about exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving, all of which you'll achieve with the help of the Rot, tiny adorable creatures that you can dress up in a variety of hats (yes, really).
