We're only eight days away from the launch of Halo 5 and information about Spartan Companies has been released via Halo Waypoint. Spartan Companies are Halo 5's equivalent of the clan system seen in games like Destiny or Call of Duty.
What being part of a company means is that all players will play under a common banner, such as their emblem, and that it will change the way that playing as a team will work for you as you rise up the ranks in multiplayer.
There isn't all that much detail of what kinds of benefits you will gain from being in a clan in the long run but what is known is that you will receive a free REQ pack with a guarantee of a customization item when you join or create one for the first time. Each Company will also get their own private forum to talk about whatever they would like with similar players. You can create an emblem for your Spartan Company on Halo Waypoint so that the members of your company will all fly the same flag. Each company can have up to 100 members but require at least 4 before your Spartan Company will become active.

With all of the news of Spartan Companies and the free customization item Halo Waypoint is now giving you a way to edit the appearance of your Spartan from your browser. You can now change the armor, helmet, visor, color and gender of your Spartan so you can look your best when you take on the enemy. This feature is also complete with a 3D model of your Spartan that you can rotate so that you can see just how good you look.

TechRaptor has also set up our own Spartan Company so if you're looking forward to the release of Halo 5 and want to join a Company then you can. Halo 5 will be releasing on the 27th of October and you can be sure to come back to TechRaptor on the 26th to check out our review for the game.
