This month's PlayStation Plus offerings headliners include a January-appropriate title, as well as some good ol' fashioned ARPG adventuring. These titles are up for grabs at no extra charge for PlayStation Plus subscribers starting today until February 5, 2019.
The first PS4 title is Steep, an open world game allowing you to ski, snowboard and glide around to your heart's content in a snowy wonderland. You can ride around with your friends and take on challenges in this high-octane winter sports game. While the game itself is free and usually runs for $30, the game's DLC packs are not included.
Portal Knights is also available on PS4, which usually runs at $19.99. Developed by 505 Games, this cooperative action sandbox RPG includes classes, randomly generated areas, and quests. Unlike, say, Diablo, Portal Knights allows players to make their own island and buildings.
The two PlayStation 3 titles are Konami's Zone of the Enders 1 HD Edition and Amplitude. Zone of the Enders has you take control of a mech as you slash and shoot your way to victory against other mechanized opponents. Meanwhile, Amplitude is a "rhythm-action" title by the creators of Rockband. Like Rockband, you'll be hitting beats on a track, except this time you're in control of ships in strange, sci-fi and psychedelic environments.
The final two titles, both available for the PS Vita, are Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion and Super Mutant Alien Assault. The former is a fantasy RPG adventure that includes choices with consequences and side-scrolling combat. Super Mutant Alien Assault is a 2D pixelly action title that's the self-described "Citizen Kane of Super Crate Box Clones."
The month's entire offerings would be at around $110 total for those without PlayStation Plus, so be sure to seize this opportunity and grab these titles before February 5, 2018.
