Iron Harvest was just released yesterday, and already there's a road map for the rest of September, showing what you can expect from the RTS game this month.
The first week of September is just the Iron Harvest release, but week two will feature a new 3v3 Map and the Campaign Co-Op mode. Week 3 will be a 2v2 Map and a Glossary, Week 4 will be a MP ranked mode and auto-cast abilities, and Week 5 will be a new 1v1 map. That’s a pretty decent clip all month, but one has to wonder why they didn’t release the game during the first few weeks of October if so many features were this close to launch.
Kickstarter backers of Iron Harvest will also be able to claim a cosmetic “thank you” skin, which can be found within the Steam blog post here.
Another tidbit of Iron Harvest news has Koch Media handing out refunds for those who pre-ordered the game on the Epic Store. The reason? It’s not ready yet… even though it has launched everywhere else, which is bizarre.

Quick Take
I have heard that the developers have been very keen on updating Iron Harvest, but this pace is very impressive, but it also produces a question: why not wait? It’s not as if there’s a huge glutton of RTS titles, so if the game wasn’t ready (and I don’t think anyone can argue that the game was entirely ready) then why not delay it until it has features that it promised it would be supporting day one such as campaign Co-Op? It’s not a huge deal, but it’s also something that could’ve prevented unnecessary drama. Oh well.
