Mechs are strategic in the pixel game Into The Breach which has made several big announcements. The devs behind the turn-based strategy game have announced an Advanced Edition which will be arriving July 19th. Alongside this new version, Into The Breach will also be coming to both Netflix and mobile devices on the same day.
The Into The Breach Advanced Edition
Created by the minds behind the well-received FTL: Faster Than Light, Into The Breach launched in 2018. Following a positive reception, the game received periodic updates to support its endless gameplay. The upcoming Advanced Edition will apply a number of additions to change the gameplay and add more variety to player runs. They include new squads and pilots to command, and new weapons and abilities to wield against new enemies and bosses. Come July 19th, all owners of the game will receive this new version for free.
Much like FTL, Subset Games designed Into The Breach to have a lot of replayability. Instead of a spaceship, players control an organization that has access to pilot-controlled mechs. Using a combination of weapons, tech, and crew abilities, players are challenged to lead their team to victory against a dangerous alien force. The game also has RNG elements, which adds a level of luck to each run players attempt. Should they not be satisfied, they have access to multiple saves as well as a way to enter alternate timelines for a better chance at success.
Into The Breach Announced For Netflix And Mobile
Though the Advanced Edition is a big transformation for the game, Into The Breach will also be expanding. The game will be coming free to all Netflix subscribers and to the online markets of iOS and Android devices on July 19th. Though these are different ports, they will include the base content and all the perks of the Advanced Edition.
