The release of Injustice 2 is right around the corner and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have recently revealed a new trailer to get fans excited about the upcoming fighting game. The video shows off the first three DLC characters-Red Hood, Starfire, and Sub-Zero- for the Injustice sequel. Players can get the DC and Mortal Kombat characters as part of special edition versions.

The brief trailer introduces players to the three new characters included in the Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 1. From Batman's storyline, the villainous Red Hood joins the game. The alias has been tied to the Joker’s origins as well as Batman’s former protege Jason Todd among others. Another DC character flying into the fight is the powerful and beautiful alien princess Starfire who is most often seen as a member of superhero team-ups like the Teen Titans. Crossing over from NetherRealm’s other popular fighting franchise Mortal Kombat, is frosty, blade-wielding Sub-Zero.
These three characters are currently still in development and won't be available at launch but will be available for download after the game’s release. Purchasing a special edition of Injustice 2 will include Fighter Pack 1 along with the other added bonuses. Both the Ultimate Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition are available to pre-order now.
The Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition (affiliate link) will get buyers nine playable characters including Fighter Pack 1. It will also give players three premiere skins and two exclusive gear shaders to customize characters all for $99.99. The Injustice 2 Digital Deluxe Edition will include Fighter Pack 1 with one premier skin and an exclusive gear shader for $79.99.
