Square Enix Game Studio and Kai Graphics have released some brand new information in regards to The Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai release. Though there is no concrete release date as of yet, there is a live stream scheduled on September 18, 2022, at 12:45 pm JST that will give us more details of what's to come.
The release of The Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai will be a global release, meaning it will launch on all platforms worldwide simultaneously. While this is a monumental feat for Square Enix, fans of the Dragon Quest franchise are actually a bit puzzled by the name itself. The name is definitely a bit bizarre compared to some of the other titles that are inspired by the Manga.
The announcement trailer is brought to us by Square and shows us some insane-looking hack and slash content, just as we would expect from the franchise. We can see that the boss battles look to be both thrilling and fun as well, and though we don't know much about this new title, one can assume it will do numbers. If you do choose to watch the trailer, it comes subbed in English automatically, which is neat!
the original Dragon Quest was released in May of 1986 in Japan, and headed to North America in August of 1989 as a game titled Dragon Warrior. The RPG became a quick hit in the US, and from there just kept growing and evolving into the game we see today. In the trailer, we do some some never before seen footage of one of the main characters, Dai, and a few friends, Popp and Maam, fighting against the Leader of the Undead Legion. We also get to see the enigmatic emblem on Dai's forehead give him extremely potent power to use for his attacks, which is something from the events in the 1989 Manga.
Though we don't have a set release date, one can hope that it will be announced during the Tokyo Game Show 2022, which as mentioned previously will air via YouTube Niconico, and Twitch on September 18, 2022 at 12:45 pm JST.
