Snowcastle Games has just announced that Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure has received a Steam Early Access release date for August 18th, 2022. The game is set in the same universe as the Earthlock series, which is also developed and published by Snowcastle Games. Ikonei Island is inspired by games such as Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing, and will feature crafting, farming, combat, and multiplayer that can be played with friends. Let's take a closer look at it, shall we?

What's up with Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure?

In Ikonei Island, players will be able to explore, gather resources, craft, and use the game's customization systems to their liking. If players befriend the local wildlife, they can use their unique abilities to access different places on the island, which is an interesting idea. Players will also encounter pirate camps that they'll have to deal with, while also fighting monsters that want to give you a bad time.

Hamlet
Yep, that's definitely a hamlet.

This can all be done in multiplayer with friends, but that feature will be added to the game at a later date. Until then, players can explore ancient ruins and biomes that range from deserts, mountains, and swamps. Players will be able to upgrade their hamlets and customize their island to their liking. Basically, if you are looking for your dream island home, Ikonei Island will try and give that to you.

Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure will launch via Steam's Early Access program on August 18th, 2022. It will eventually release in full on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, but we don't have a date for that yet.
