This week on the Hunt, we go to the opposite parts of the spectrum of game quality. Some of those who've watched the last two segments of the Hunt may have a good inkling of what the bad part of the spectrum is.

This week, the shining star of the bunch is Ori and the Blind Forest, which stands out as a fine example of what the proper blend of aesthetic and gameplay should be. But on the complete flip side, Resident Evil Revelations 2: Episode 3 made me want to put down the game, which is a bit of a problem considering that I'm the reviewer for it. Zombie Army Trilogy shows how fun it can be to shoot zombies in the head repeatedly, although it's not without its flaws. The puzzle games also made an appearance this week, as Grapple combines physics and 3D platforming to a nice little package. Parallax is a slow and methodical puzzle game that may not be for everyone due to its visuals, which could affect people in a strange way. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number does a lot of things well with its new gameplay variety and emphasis on story, but on the other hand causes a couple of new problems with its level design. Bloody Streets only stands out for its artwork, and doesn't stand out for its gameplay in anyway. And finally, Synonymy does its best to bring a word game to the PC that will make you think, but doesn't take advantage of the platform properly.

Coming up in the next week, console release after console release hits while some titles come to the release window that are trying to buy back some fans with the next iteration in the series. Now, I've focused mostly on the PC releases and the smaller titles every week, but you may find a console release or two this week as I have been wanting to mix things up for a little bit. Anything that you're looking forward to that's coming out on consoles over the next couple of weeks? Do you think it's been a while since you've seen a good console release? I prefer playing games on the PC personally, but my Wii U has gotten a lot of use as well.  Anyway, I'll see you next week.
