The Humble Train Simulator Bundle is here! If you've ever wanted to get into one of the best train games in the world, this presents an excellent opportunity to hop right in.
Train Simulator is kind of legendary in the gaming world, although not for the reason you might think. Sure, this is a seriously-detailed game that has some really nice trains. A lot of really nice trains.
In fact, the Humble Train Simulator Bundle features the base game and a staggering 16 pieces of DLC. That sounds impressive until you're told that there are 569 pieces of DLC for this game.
Obviously, you're not intended to buy them all (unless you're a huge train fanatic), and so this bundle gives players a pretty nice selection of things to play with. Let's dive right in!
Humble Train Simulator Bundle — Pay $1 or More
The $1 tier of this bundle starts you off with the base game and a nice mix of new trains and locations.
Train Simulator 2020
This is the base game of Train Simulator that will start you down a dark, dark path. This features a couple of lines to get you started (most notably the Nuremberg & Regensburg Bah and Norfolk Souther N-Line) and some trains to drive on them.
Train Simulator: Riviera Line in the Fifties: Exeter - Kingswear Route Add-On
Aside from having a title that sounds like it conceived by Arc System Works, this piece of DLC adds the line from Newton Abbot to Kingswear and is set in the mid-1800s. Because hey, why not throw some time travel into the mix, too?
Train Simulator: Western Hydraulics Pack Add-On
This adds three kinds of hydraulic bumpers to the game. This also adds three scenarios for the preceding add-on.
Train Simulator: Miami - West Palm Beach Route Add-On
This adds a beautiful route along the Southeast Florida coast and eight new stations along the way. This also includes some scenarios for this route.
Train Simulator: CSX AC6000CW Loco Add-On
Who could forget the iconic CSX AC6000CW locomotive? I mean, when a kid loves trains, they say, "Boy, I can't wait to drive a CSX AC6000CW one day!"
Anyway, this pack includes a shiny new train engine and three scenarios for the Miami - West Palm Beach route.
Humble Train Simulator Bundle — Beat the Average
Beat the average for this package and you'll get six more pieces of DLC, including three new routes and three new locomotives.
Train Simulator: Weardale & Teesdale Network Route Add-On
Head to one of the most important lines in Northwest England and experience the Weardale and Teesdale route. This pack includes seven scenarios and a whole bunch of other goodies.
Train Simulator: BR Class 24 Loco Add-On
British Railway went through a modernization plan in the late 1950s and the BR Class 24 was one of the cornerstones of this effort. This adds three scenarios to the previous route and a new engine.
Train Simulator: North Jersey Coast Line Route Add-On
If you live in New Jersey and work in New York, you're probably traveling on the iconic North Jersey Coast Line. This package includes Hoboken Terminal and New York Penn Station, one of the world's most famous train stations.
Train Simulator: NJ TRANSIT GP40PH-2B Loco Add-On
I grew up watching these beefy boys pull into Newark Penn Station. The GP40 package includes this iconic locomotive and three scenarios for the North Jersey Coast Line.
Train Simulator: West Rhine: Kln - Koblenz Route Add-On
Now we travel to Germany to experience a 60-mile (96km) route between Cologne and Koblenz with 22 passenger stations, six scenarios, and more.
Train Simulator: MRCE BR 185.5 Loco Add-On
Add three scenarios to the Cologne-Koblenz route, the BR 185.5 locomotive in MRCE Black livery, and some other neat goodies.
Humble Train Simulator Bundle — Pay $12 or More
Finally, pay $12 and you'll round out your collection of DLC in the Humble Train Simulator Bundle with — you guessed it — even more trains and routes! Who would have guessed?!
Train Simulator: Chatham Main & Medway Valley Lines Route Add-On
We explore English rail yet again by heading to Kent in the Southeast of England. This adds a line from London Victoria to Orpington & Rainham via Kent House and Denmark Hill, a route from Strood to Tonbridge, including Tonbridge West Yard, and a route from Strood to Gravesend, including Hoo Junction. New trains also enter the mix!
Train Simulator: BR Class 402 '2-HAL' EMU Add-On
This adds in the "2-HAL" train in Southern Green and BR Blue liveries, three scenarios, and a host of other features appropriate for the era like a train whistle. Toot toot!
Train Simulator: Feather River Canyon Route Add-On
Back in the heydey of America's rail expansion, the Feather River Canyon route was one of the most challenging tracks to engineer. Heading from Oroville to Quincy Junction, California, this iconic track (and associated scenarios) have some of the most fantastic views in the game.
Train Simulator: Western Pacific FP7 California Zephyr Loco Add-On
This includes in the "Zephyr" train and all of the accommodations, including a baggage car, coach, buffet lounger, sleepers, diner, and more. As you might expect, some scenarios are added, too.
Train Simulator: Hamburg S1 S-Bahn Route Add-On
Out final route package explores the S1 Line of the Hamburg S-Bahn, heading from Wedel to Poppenbüttel and Hamburg Airport.
Train Simulator: DB BR 114 Loco Add-On
Lastly, this electric train arrives as a result of the 1970's oil crisis. This includes three challenging scenarios and a really nicely-detailed simulation of the DR BR 114.
Whew, and that's it for the Humble Train Simulator Bundle! While this is just a fraction of the DLC available for this great simulation game, you're still able to pick up a whole bunch of stuff at a fantastic discount.
If you're keen on trying out this highly-immersive game, you should go ahead and check out the Humble Train Simulator Bundle! You have a little less than three weeks to pick up this game and this DLC before it's gone for good!
