Sony has released a new behind-the-scenes look at production for the upcoming Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC. "Meet Seyka" takes us into the world of motion capture, giving us a look at how actress Kylie Liya Page portrays Aloy's new companion and what it's like to act opposite lead Ashly Burch.

In the video, we hear from various Guerrilla Games staffers, as well as Page and Burch themselves. Burch describes Seyka as Aloy's "match"; while Aloy is used to being a capable, in-control warrior, she'll have to rely on Seyka if she's going to make it out of the Burning Shores alive.

Page, meanwhile, describes herself as "beyond blessed and filled with gratitude" to get the chance to join the Horizon franchise. Burning Shores served as Page's first motion capture role, and she says the experience was "intimidating", forcing her out of her comfort zone. Despite that, once Page "found [the] freedom" of working in mo-cap, she says she enjoyed the experience.

Horizon narrative director Ben McCaw says that Page's "vulnerability" combined with her strength and independence drew him and Guerrilla to cast her as Seyka. McCaw also says that "new mysteries" are the key to bringing something new to Horizon, as well as interconnecting those mysteries with Aloy's character and new discoveries about herself.

It's worth watching the full video, as it shows some fun behind-the-scenes footage featuring Burch and Page acting opposite one another, as well as glimpses of the process when it comes to translating those performances into Burning Shores. Both Burch and Page also talk about the benefits of working alongside one another, as well as what their characters and Burning Shores as a whole bring to the Horizon franchise.

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores launches on April 19th. Although the base game is available on both PS4 and PS5, the DLC is PS5-exclusive.
