Guerrilla Games has released a Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores launch trailer, showcasing what the upcoming DLC has to offer. It's a cinematic clip that shows off the Burning Shores in all their beauty, as well as giving us a glimpse of what Aloy will go through when she arrives there.

As the trailer begins, Aloy is soaring through the sky on her Sunwing mount. In a voiceover, she tells us the enemy "is heading south, to the Burning Shores", and as she reaches the titular area, she's shot down by a tower, leaving her stranded in this hostile new area. You can check out the Burning Shores launch trailer right here.

Aloy quickly meets Seyka, her new companion for this adventure. Seyka says her people, the Quen, are "lost and scattered", wondering what "he could possibly want with them" (although we're not exactly sure who "he" is referring to). Whoever "he" is, Aloy says he's "up to something big", and that every tribe is in danger as a result. As such, she forges an alliance with Seyka in order to discover the truth and save the world once again.

The trailer closes with Aloy soaring through the skies on her Sunwing alongside Seyka, then facing off against a massive machine that dwarfs her in size. Burning Shores looks like it'll offer more of what you loved about Horizon Forbidden West if you were a fan, although it'll be exclusive to PS5, so hopefully you've picked up Sony's next-gen console at this point.

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores lands exclusively for PlayStation 5 on April 19th. Pre-orders are open right now if you know you're going to pick the DLC up, and you'll get some nifty exclusive items for dropping a pre-order, too. Horizon Forbidden West itself is currently available on PS5 and PS4. Make sure you take a look at our Forbidden West guides to help you get the most out of Aloy's second adventure.
